Marching on Together: Brighton match review

By: j | October 10th, 2008

After last weeks 2-0 loss to Peterborough, Leeds welcomes Brighton & Hove to Elland Road with firm intention of returning to winning form.

Gary McAllister has not been pleased with performance this past week and changes to Wednesday’s match against Rotherdam lineup should be expected. Unfortunately Alan Sheehan’s back-line presence will be missing again as he injured his hamstring against Rotherham. Sixteen year-old phenom Aiden White will step in and continue his break-out season.

It has been a tough start to the campaign for Micky Adams’ club as they are winless in seven matches while drawing the last four. They are likely to be without striker Glenn Murray for the match along with long-term absentee Nicky Forster.

Leeds is likely to return to the experiment with a 4-3-3 using Frazer Richardson, Paul Telfer, Rui Marques and Aidan White on the back-line. The midfield experiment continues with Jonny Howson, Jonny Howson and Fabian Delph servicing Andy Robinson, Jermaine Beckford and Luciano Becchio up-front. To return to winning form Leeds must push the attack forward with ruthless tenacity.

I will report upon the match as it concludes until then we’re Marching on Together.
