Neil McDonald joins Sam Allardyce at Blackburn Rovers

By: j | December 18th, 2008

As news that Leeds first-team coach Neil McDonald as joined Sam Allardyce at Blackburn, Gary McAllister has reacted with scorn:

“I’m not happy with the way it was done.”

“I actually found out yesterday and I was aware of it because the football world is a small one and I have a lot of friends in it. Maybe I knew things that other people didn’t.

“But when someone approaches you from two divisions above in the Premier League there is little you can do.

“Neil lives 10 minutes away from Blackburn and knows Sam well.”

“I’m disappointed and the timing isn’t ideal, but at the same, time, we’ll carry on working and look at the situation in a couple of weeks.”
