Eh well, the dream's over. 5-2 is a pretty respectable result for H&W, especially considering that they had Liverpool on the back foot for a lot of the first half.

I just wish I could have seen it - I can't imagine for a second that Chelsea v Wigan will be remotely entertaining.

BBC match report is here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/fa_cup/7197712.stm

Guardian match report: http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,,2247455,00.html

I have to take back my earlier claim about the most interesting game today, though: Derby lost to Preston. And not just marginally: they were utterly annihilated in a 4-1 defeat. Is the pain ever going to end for Derby County? Does anyone have enough money to transform them from a punching bag into a football team?

Nice one Matt. Joe Jordan's son is due to be involved in this game, but during the week he said he wanted to leave to join near rivals Eastleigh who play in the same league (NCS).

Most of the H&W have been treated like the footballing superstars 'they are,' and I wish them well too.

Off to Wigan for the 5.15pm Saturday game. Thanks BBC but thanks also to Chelsea for the £10 return train ticket to get us there and back home.

Shame on the BBC for not putting the game on live. That will be something those guys never forget, but they won't even give them a fair shake by putting it on live.
