Simon Grayson takes the helm

By: j | December 23rd, 2008

Leeds have announced that Simon Grayson will take over the helm after Gary McAllister was let go on Sunday. It is a return home for Mr. Grayson as he was a trainee at Leeds in the late 1980’s before heading to Leicester City in 1992. His final playing years concluded at Blackpool, which he took over as a caretaker manager in late fall of 2005. Leading the club away from relegation that season, his guidance saw the club promoted to the Championship in 2007. His departure from Blackpool did not come willingly from the club and legal action against Leeds and the manager is said to be considered.

The new manager will be put to task immediately as Leeds looks to stop its five match losing streak against top of the table Leicester City on Friday.
