“There’s a fighting spirit here”

Young Scot Robert Snodgrass is in the midst of a solid run of late, scoring in each of this last three matches and presumably edging management towards using him in the starting grid. In recognizing the impact of new manager Simon Grayson, the former Livingston-man said:

“There’s a fighting spirit here. I think you could see that in the last couple of games. Everyone’s there and fighting together, and we know where we are heading.”

“The result against Leicester, who were flying, on Boxing Day felt like a win, and it got the five defeats off our shoulders.

“At Stockport we showed a great fighting spirit and hung in there and got the result. There were some great finishes as well and we got the points we deserved.

“There’s some talent in the dressing room and we’ll go to Hereford looking for another three points.”

Looking ahead to the weekend clash, Leeds must approach the next few days with a tactical professional approach. While some glorify the draw against Leicester, truth be told the club looked sluggish from the holidays and lacked the tenacity to dictate play.
